Open To Locals: Tucker’s Point Italian Restaurant

November 30, 2012

Rosewood Tucker’s Point today [Nov 30] announces that for the first time, locals are welcome to dine at the Clubhouse restaurant Sul Verde, which was previously only open to members. In addition, Executive Chef Guido Brambilla implements his first innovations with a unique restaurant concept and a new menu at The Point.

Executive Chef Guido Brambilla brings his authentic Italian flare to Sul Verde, which they call an “eatalian” osteria. Located at the Clubhouse, Sul Verde’s rustic menu features an antipasti buffet along with traditional primi and secondi courses served family style.

“Chef Guido’s new concept is the perfect place to spend a relaxing evening together with family and friends while enjoying his delicious Italian cuisine,” says Duncan Graham, Managing Director of Rosewood Tucker’s Point. “Additionally, we are thrilled that the local community will also be able to experience Sul Verde,” adds Graham.

Their selection from the antipasti buffet includes homemade pickles and focaccia to a selection of cold cuts, salads and marinated vegetables. The pasta selections include classics from carbonara to pesto and main course options are available from traditional chicken cacciatore to veal Milanese. Gluten free and whole wheat pastas are additionally available. An extensive Italian wine list and homemade infused grappas are also a specialty. Sul Verde welcomes locals and hotel guests every evening for dinner. Reservations may be made by calling 298-6983.

    Hmmmmm, no thanks.

Wasn’t welcome there this summer and I won’t be going there now.

    • the god says:

      Agreed

    • swing voter says:

I’m on your side M8….I wasn’t good enough to eat there before, and I certainly don’t want the ‘priveledge’ to dine there now. Some people make me sick

      • formidable deviant says:

Own goal, Tuckers. In short, SCREW YOU. So now you are struggling, your grubby local dollar is ok? Are you going to make me wear a stupid jacket like its 1980? Some people….

  3. Rosy Hill says:

    Online menu?

  4. Man in the Mirror says:

    @ Chart
Why boys from Parkside? how about dem boys n girls from Fairylands.
I am sure they would like to dine on some fine grub in their Saltus, MSA and Warwick Academy attire.

    • ButICanDream says:

I went to Warwick Academy. I live, and have never lived, anywhere near Fairylands, or anything similar, but I did live in a black, single parent home. I have close friends who went to CBA, BI, Berkley, and BHS. Please don’t group all private school students into that demographic.

  5. Nanny Pat says:

The picture posted is not of the Italian restaurant at the Club House – it is of The Point restaurant in the hotel. These are 2 very different venues.

  6. Free says:

That title is all sorts of uncomfortable but I’ll keep quiet. A lot of people are too emotional nowadays, especially about the truth.

  7. Opressed says:

Probably be a new hang out for the PLP, they got the money for there, I sure as hell don’t.

  8. As Bermuda sinks! says:

Why open it now …… what was wrong with us before…. running out of money. You won’t see me there.

  9. Private Pyle says:

Forget you guys! You won’t see me there. As someone mentioned already, I wasn’t good enough to eat there before, and I certainly don’t want the ‘priveledge’ to dine there now.

  10. massah says:

“Yes a massah, we’s free now, we cah go dine with the regulah folks!”

Lemme stop. I’m not one to be pullin that card out, but chooks I can’t help but imagine that in my head.

  11. Simply the Truth says:

To be totally honest the members of Tucker’s Point don’t want any locals on there turf anyway, so you are doing them all a favor when you say “no I won’t go there” keeps a smile on the members face.

  12. I'm just sayin... says:

    @ Simply the Truth,

If that were true they wouldn’t have opened it up to locals……. maybe the truth hurts simply but methinks TP NEEDS locals to patronize their outlets.

The favor would be from locals, who were not welcome previously, who would dine there to keep the clubhouse restaurant open.

The members can smile all they want but if there were enough covers per week from members, Sul Verde would have NEVER opened its doors to the local riff raff, they would be full of the member type riff raff.

  13. Simply the Truth says:

Back @ I’m just saying, the members don’t want locals it’s The management of Tucker’s Point that want the locals money. the members will smile if the locals don’t show, Members don’t want the locals even if they spend money. Why the heck do you think they pay membership ???????????

  14. Bermudican says:

Did any of you ever see the reverse of that ?
    i have.
It may seem like i am making this up buh , i have eaten in a couple old places in my time ,that would not serve anyone who even Looked like they Might be someone of privilege..
    : ))

Slow it all down a notch…
There are some places that, do not haul in hundreds of customers, where you get a table and room ….that treat you like you are a King .. There is certainly differences in menus and service..Often Rich folks never even heard of places like that….
there is an old saying to each his own ..i do not own a leer jet so i look for value relative to where i am coming from ..Call it niche markets where i like the atmosphere and am not told what i should like …Then again i do not go out very often .
