Firefighters Respond To Car Fire In Devonshire

[Updated] At approximately 8.30am this morning [June 21], the Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service responded to a report of a car on fire in the Cedar Park, Devonshire area. Multiple fire vehicles and personnel responded to the scene, as did several police officers. Smoke and flames could be seen pouring out of the front of the car, which has been left with significant damage. Further details are unclear at this time, however we will update as able.

Update 2.38pm: A BFRS spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service responded to a report of a car fire on Cedar Park Road. Two fire appliances manned with six firefighters responded to the incident. Firemen dressed in breathing apparatus and equipped with a hose line quickly got the fire under control. The actual cause of the fire is currently under investigation. ”
