Police Investigating Reported Theft Of Two Punts

The police are conducting inquiries into the reported theft of two punts from the St. George’s area.

A police spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Police Service Marine Unit is conducting inquiries into the reported theft of two punts from the Scott’s Harbour, St. George’s area, near the Swing Bridge.

“The first, ‘BB Gun’, is described as green in colour with a blue bottom, measuring 5 feet by 3 feet and was removed sometime between 4pm Saturday, July 20th and 9:30am Sunday, July 28th.

“The second is described as a white fiberglass punt, measuring 6 feet long bearing registration decal #649 and was removed sometime between 4pm Saturday, July 27th and 7:45am Sunday, July 28th.

“Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of these punts is encouraged to contact the Marine Unit on 247-1770 at the earliest opportunity.”

Earlier this month, a white 17-foot Boston Whaler was reported stolen from a Mills Creek, Pembroke mooring. It was subsequently recovered.
