Video: Nahki Wells Continues His Scoring Streak
[Updated with video] Nahki Wells continues his scoring streak, this time finding the back of the net in the 24th minute of today’s [Aug 10] game against Carlisle United.
Mark Yeates put Bradford City up 1-0 in the 20th minute, Wells followed up with the second goal in the 24th minute, and James Hanson then followed up with a third goal in the 29th minute, to put Bradford ahead 3-0.
Bradford described the goal by saying, “Nahki’s third in as many games came after he intercepted Paul Thirlwell’s header towards his keeper Gillespie, he composed himself before clipping a shot home from an almost impossible angle.”
The 23-year-old Bermudian was once signed by Carlisle United, however the team released him in 2011 and he went on to sign for Bradford City. Last season he lead all scorers for Bradford City with 26 goals, and he had said he is aiming for 30 goals this season.
The match is still in progress, with Bradford leading 3-0 in the first half. We will update as able.
Update 11.58am: The match is now at half time, with Bradford continuing to lead 3-0.
