Vehicle Damaged After Fire In Southampton
Earlier today [Sept 1] the Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service responded to a car fire on Industrial Park Road in Southampton.
The owner of the car, who lives in a nearby apartment, said that around 10:30am he was called and told that his car was on fire, and when he arrived on the scene the car was burning.
The car, which was unlicensed but otherwise in working order, had been parked in that location on Industrial Park Road in Southampton for several weeks. The owner said that he occasionally started it to keep the engine and parts working, and he was concerned as to why it had suddenly caught on fire.
BFRS personnel arrived on scene and extinguished the blaze, which left the vehicle with substantial damage. We will update with official information as able.
