Nearly 120 Traffic Tickets Issued So Far Today
Nearly 120 tickets have been issued today as part of ongoing traffic enforcement measures, the police said.
In a statement at approximately 6:30pm today, the police said “In a joint effort between the BPS and TCD, nearly 120 tickets have been issued so far today.
“Of those:
- 50 were for speeding
- 31 were for failing to wear a seatbelt
- 15 were for using a cellphone while driving
- 5 were for driving without a licence
- 7 were for having no third-party insurance
- 8 were for having no vehicle licence
- 2 were for excessive window tint
“We continue to see regular patterns of disregard for traffic laws among the motoring public. However, we remain committed to carrying out our mission of promoting public safety on our roads.”
