Limited Edition Prints Of Nahki Wells Debut Goal

January 17, 2014

Huddersfield Town Football Club is selling 50 “limited edition” framed photos featuring Bermuda’s Nakhi Wells after he scored his debut goal last week.

On January 10th, Wells was transferred to Championship side Huddersfield Town, which paid a new club record transfer fee breaking their old one of £1.2 million [$2 million] set in 1996. This is the highest transfer fee ever paid for Bermuda footballer, and makes Wells the island’s first “million pound footballer.”

The 23 year old Bermudian made his debut for the team the day after he signed, coming on as a substitute in the second half of Huddersfield Town’s game against Millwall. The score was 0-0 when he came on, and Wells made a massive impact on his first time out the gate, scoring the game winning goal in the last seconds of the game.

Wells should be back in action tomorrow [Jan 18], with the team set to take on Queen’s Park Rangers. According to various media reports in the UK, he is likely to start the game.
