A BCB spokesperson said, “They looked at professional Indian cricketers and the history of Indian cricket. Sachin Tendulka was one of the players highlighted during group discussion.

“Coach Clay Smith introduced the players to the theory of cricket and they focused on learning fielding positions and different ways to get out.

“The 10-14 year olds took part in a match analysis session in which they were required to analyse the bowlers, batsmen and wicketkeeper of the 7-9 year old group and then reported back for group discussion and analysis.

“The girls played a netball game with another camp and they also worked on footwork, passing, court positions and safety in netball. In cricket, the girls played continuous cricket, worked on their bowling in the nets and the correct bat positioning.

“They also had a chance to do a flower arranging course and made some beautfiul arrangements! Thanks Bermuda Garden Club!

“In character building this week players set a goal on something they wanted to improve on and they also focused on trustworthiness on and off the field. We were pleased to note that players kept referring back to trust and fairness, two of the character building skills that were last week’s focus.”
