Early Pension Payments For Colonial Clients

October 15, 2014

[Updated] In light of the approaching hurricane, Colonial Pensions advised that its pensioners that their monthly pension payment will be deposited into their bank accounts effective tomorrow, 16th October 2014.

A spokesperson said, “These payments are being made early to allow for any necessary cash withdrawals before early bank closures and/or unavailability of ATMs due to the pending arrival of Hurricane Gonzalo.

Update Oct 16, 5pm: PLP MP Zane Desilva said, “The news that Colonial Insurance has taken the compassionate measure of paying out pensions early to seniors in advance of Hurricane Gonzalo, represents the true spirit of Bermudian unity in the face of adversity.

“We commend Colonial and hope that their example inspires other members of the private sector to assist where they can, for the good of all.”
