Both Reggie Lambe and Nahki Wells made impressive showings on Sunday [Jan 11], with both professional footballers scoring goals for their teams.

Nahki Wells scored his 11th goal of the season, opening the scoring for Huddersfield Town in the 51st minute of their match against Watford, with Huddersfield ending up with a 3-1 victory.

After the game, Huddersfield Town Manager Chris Powell said, “I thought Nahki’s hold-up play and touches were outstanding today. He’s a player who can really excel at this level and we’re working with him and Vaughany, because we need that to work.”

Meanwhile, Reggie Lambe also scored a goal for his team, with Mansfield Town suffering a 2-1 defeat against title contenders Burton, with Lambe netting the sole goal for his side.

The midfielder’s goal came some 24 hours after English League Two side Mansfield Town Football Club announced that they had extended Lambes’ contract, saying he “impressed the boss.”

After the game Wells tweeted: “Today makes a year at Town starting with a goal/ending with a goal. Hope to have a even better 2015. Thx 4 the support,” while Lambe tweeted, “Devastating loss, but want to thank everyone for celebrating my goal with me, the support means a lot.”
