Man Charged After Fatal Hit & Run Collision

April 20, 2015

Appearing in Magistrates Court this morning [April 20], a 26-year-old man was charged in connection with the collision this weekend that resulted in the death of 22-year-old La-Nae Woodley.

Patrick Richardson Jr was charged with unlawfully killing Ms Woodley and causing grievous bodily harm to Deidre Morgan by driving whilst impaired, failing to stop after a road traffic accident and having no drivers license.

As the charges are indicitable and can only be heard in the Supreme Court, the defendant did not have to enter a plea.

Magistrate Khamisi Tokunko granted bail in the amount of $20,000 with a surety, ordered the defendant surrender his travel documents and report to police station twice a week. He is set to return to court next month.
