19-Year-Old Male Stabbing Victim Recovering

The 19-year-old who was stabbed outside Woody’s in Sandys last night [May 2] is recovering on a general ward at the hospital and his “injury is not considered to be life threatening,” the police said today.

A police spokesperson said, “At last check the 19 year old Sandys parish man injured in an apparent stabbing that occurred around 6pm Saturday, May 2nd outside Woody’s Sports Bar in Sandys parish was recovering on a general ward at the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

“The teenager’s injury is not considered to be life threatening.”

“Inquiries into this incident are ongoing and detectives continue to appeal for any witnesses to contact the Criminal Investigations Department on the main police telephone number 295-0011,” the police added.

“Alternatively, persons with information regarding this matter can also call the independent and confidential Crime Stoppers hotline 800-8477.‎”

    Good to hear this young man is recovery from the injury sustained yesterday. On another note, police officers can’t be getting paid near enough to deal with violent crowds that could potentially turn on them.

    Could not agree more,but where do we get the money from as we are still borrowing $220Million per year to keep the Civil Service going unless you can suggest some cuts to balance the budget and then find some additional for the Police Service.
    Besides the police Service is very popular at this time as they got 130 applicants for 20 police trainees last year.
