Fire Service Extinguish Blaze In Car, Shed, Brush
Following after the car fire this afternoon, the Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service responded to another fire this evening [Nov 17], with the fire involving a car, shed and the surrounding area of brush in the Spanish Point area.
Fire Service spokesperson Sergeant Russann Francis said that at approximately 8:37pm this evening, the Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service responded to a report of “trees on fire” in the Spanish Point area in Pembroke Parish; and the Fire Service responded to the incident with three vehicles staffed with 10 firefighters.
Station Commander on duty Lieutenant Mark Taylor said, “On arrival we found a car, a shed and the surrounding area of brush approximately 30’ x 50’ fully involved in fire. Two firefighters dressed in breathing apparatus and equipped with a 1½” hose line began to extinguish the fire.”
“At present the fire is under investigation,” the BFRS added.
