Police Respond To Devonshire Domestic Incident

Police responded to an incident at Lindo’s Market in Devonshire on Wednesday afternoon [Feb 15] where a woman “apparently sought refuge at the premises after allegedly being assaulted,” according to police.

A Police spokesperson said, “Around 3:30pm on Wednesday, February 15th police officers responded to a reported domestic incident at Lindo’s Market in Devonshire.

“On arrival officers spoke to a 36 year old Smith’s parish woman who apparently sought refuge at the premises after allegedly being assaulted.

“The suspect, believed to be a 36 year old Smith’s parish man, was arrested a short time later at a Smith’s parish residence in connection with the matter.

“A court appearance is anticipated in due course.”
