Quality Gymnastics Set To Compete In NJ
Quality Gymnastics will be competing in two gymnastics meets this month at the Crystal Springs Invitational Meet in New Jersey on March 10 and March 11, and at the Bermuda International Gymnastics Challenge on March 17 and March 18 in St. David’s.
A spokesperson said, “This is a big month for Quality Gymnastics as we are competing in two gymnastics meets this month. We will represent Bermuda this weekend, March 10 and 11, at the Crystal Springs Invitational Meet in New Jersey, USA.
“Our international team are girls between the ages of 8 – 12 years: Kayla Calveley, Alana Braxton, Celeste Candiolo, Gloria Candiolo, Kateri Zuill, Blake Boden, Sean Lawrence, and Avani Patton.
“The following weekend, March 17 and 18, our team will be competing at the Bermuda International Gymnastics Challenge hosted by BGA [Bermuda Gymnastics Association] in St. David’s, Bermuda. This will be the first time in Bermuda’s history where two local gymnastics clubs will be competing against each other in various USAIGC and USAG levels.
“Our local team are girls between the ages of 8 – 12 years: Alyssa Andrews, Ella Belford, Kayla Calveley, Alexandra Daniel, Ajana Patton, Alana Braxton, Celeste Candiolo, Gloria Candiolo, Kateri Zuill, Blake Boden, Sean Lawrence, Avani Patton, Kenya Robinson, and Isabella Stowe.”
Peter James, President of Quality Gymnastics, said, “We are very excited to be apart of this milestone in gymnastics with this being the first time two local gymnastics clubs are competing against one another.”
Anna Balada, Head Coach of Quality Gymnastics, said, “Our gymnasts have been working hard over the past year. I’m impressed with their growth and improvement in their skill levels within the year; now having the ability to compete both locally and internationally.”
“We would like to encourage everyone to come out and support the gymnasts of Quality Gymnastics and the Bermuda Gymnastics Association as we compete on March 17 and 18 at the National Training Centre, 35 Southside Road, St. David’s.”
