Bus Schedule Start Date Postponed Until Jan 21
The Department of Public Transportation [DPT] is advising that the start date for the new Winter 2019 bus schedule will move from 7 January, 2019 to 21 January, 2019.
“The new schedule will be available in printable format on www.gov.bm from Monday, 7 January and will take effect on Monday, 21 January,” the Department said.
“The new work assignments and administrative processes for the Winter 2019 schedule are now complete. The revised start date will ensure all relevant stakeholders and the general public are well informed of the scheduling changes.”
DPT Director, Roger Todd commented, “The production and dissemination of information for the public is key to this process and involves multiple entities and vendors. With due consideration for the public and the time required to properly communicate the new schedule, we are taking time to ensure this is done effectively.”
Radio announcements will also commence the week of 7 January and print media will be available the week of 14 January. Print media will include online and print advertisements, billboard overlays and hard copy schedule brochures at the Central Terminal and other key locations.
