Do they need probable cause to stop a person..if not this is a violation of our human rights.. i understand a person swerving all over the place, but for the sober ppl its a straight up violation amd goes against the constitution

    • Toodle-oo says:

As simplistic as this might sound I believe that when the constitutional issue was raised early on in the drafting of the legislation (ie; it was not overlooked) it resulted in announcements having to me made of the dates and locations of said check points.

    • sage says:

When did you protest against “stop and search” unconstitutionality? They should stop people driving away from bars where they could prevent many more than 1-3 intoxicated persons from driving for a night of RSC’s in 6 parishes.

    • treetops says:

we live in a society where when someone takes a life on the roads, the rest of society is inconvenienced and punished for their actions.

None of these comments answered my question!

    • Jus' Wonderin' says:

If they didn’t announce it then it would be illegal stop etc and against the constitution but by announcing it…they can “legally” pull you over without probable cause unfortunately.

Did you have a predetermined answer in mind or did you not like what I posted ?

  3. Southampton says:

It is so stupid to publis where these checkpoints will be held.
    BERMUDA IS SO BACKWARDS.
    This system is absolutely rediculous.
