Sunday August 2nd: “Good News” Spotlight
News that the island celebrated Cup Match, Jack Harvey and Tyler Smith won CAC medals, Jessica Lewis won a Commonwealth Games medal, and Fortitude Re donated $50,000 to the Bermuda Education Network to support student literacy programs were among the positive news stories from the past week.
Additional good news included Longtails Rowing Club claiming two gold medals at the Halifax Summer Regatta in Daytona Beach, Florida, AXA XL awarding its 2026 scholarship to Bermudian Khyii Perinchief and Sia Spence winning the 6th MARPSA Screenwriting Competition with her feature screenplay, A Holiday Choice.
