A man working as security guard was stabbed outside of a liquor store on Front Street in Hamilton last night [Jan 15], the police have confirmed.

A police spokesperson said, “Around 8:15pm Wednesday, January 15th police and fellow first responders were dispatched to a reported assault outside Carousel Liquors on Front Street in the City of Hamilton.

“The security guard was transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment of his injuries, which are not believed to be life threatening.

“The suspect is described as male, approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall with a bald/shaved head, wearing a black helmet, black jacket, blue jeans, black socks and flip flops.

“The scene has been processed and inquiries continue.
