Video: ‘Taking Off’ Highlights Skyport Magic Mile
Skyport has released the latest episode of ‘Taking Off’, a video series with host Mikaela Pearman that highlights the airport redevelopment project, with this episode highlighting the Skyport Magic Mile.
Speaking in the episode, Mikaela Pearman said, “The Skyport Magic Mile is around the corner and we are so excited!
“On Saturday, February 29, up to 500 runners aged four to 15 will take to the track at the National Sports Centre at the 25th annual event.
“It is organized by the Bermuda Pacers Track Club and sanctioned by the Bermuda National Athletics Association.
“The purpose of the Skyport Magic Mile is to promote, ignite and capture the interest of running in our children, and to allow the schools to showcase their athletes while enabling the Bermuda Pacers Track Club to identify and work with those promising youngsters who want to compete further in track and field.
“Registration is open now through Saturday, February 16th online at www.racedayworld.com The entry fee is $10. Late registration is available for $15 between February 24 and 25.
“No entries will be accepted on race day.
“The races start at 12noon with the last race commencing at 4pm.
“The day promises to be fun for the whole family. We can’t wait to cheer on all the runners!”
