New Capital G CEO: Bermudian Ian Truran
Capital G has appointed Mr. Ian Truran, to the position of President, Chief Executive Officer and Director of Capital G Bank Limited and Capital G Trust Limited, with all functions of the bank reporting to him, effective May 3rd.
Mr. Truran, a Bermudian, will replace John Kephart who has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Capital G Limited, the holding company of Capital G Investments, Capital G Trust and Capital G Bank.
Mr. Truran is commencing his new role after an 18‐year career in the Bermuda banking industry where his focus has been on retail banking, corporate banking, private banking and credit risk management. His 10 year career with Capital G has seen him advance quickly through the bank assuming the role of EVP and Chief Relationship Management Officer in 2006 with responsibility for Credit Risk, Compliance, Personal, Private and Business Banking.
Well‐known to the Bermuda community as a sportsman and long‐time supporter of the Bermuda Equestrian Federation, Mr. Truran has spent almost 10 years developing relationships with Capital G’s client base.
Mr. Truran is a graduate of Warwick Academy, Saltus Post Graduate Year and Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia.
