  1. Jason says:

As i have said before. The rich will continue to be robbed. You ppl better realize, these young guys priotities are all f##ked up. Get these young men jobs!! or continue to read things like this..

Im educated, and cant find a friggin job..How hard is it for these young high school drop outs?

Kick all these d#mn foreigners off the Island!!! Give Bermuda back its jobs !!!!!!!!!!

    • Tired of nonsense says:

      Jason,

How do you know that the reason that these guys robbed an innocent civilian is due to the fact that they applied and couldn’t get jobs? Do you know these guys personally?

Or are you looking to fabricate excuses for inexcusable behavior?

  2. DISGUSTED says:

This is HORRIBLE! Just because they aren’t given jobs gives these idiots NO RIGHT TO take from a obviously hard working individual! How rich can a mini bus driver really be? It’s not that they are taking/robbing because they have a family to feed (not like it would be better) But they sure as hell aren’t doing it to go and buy a shirt & tie for an interview?!?! They chose the fast life (fast $, fast cars, bikes etc) until that same drug that got them the fast commodities they so enjoyed now has them caught up and using therefore making their priorities FUCKED up while they make innocent hardworking people’s lives miserable. Who forced these “kids” to drop out of school because clearly that’s a decision only they can make!?

While I agree that there are many foreigners here but most would do a job that you little stuck up Bermudians think is to contemptible for you to do!! There is no way there should be foreign workers as cashiers, restaurant helpers, convenient store workers etc because there are enough Bermudians who I am sure more than qualify to do this! Now this does not mean this is all they are worth but as a high school drop out what kind of job do you expect? GROW UP STOP BLAMING EVERYBODY ELSE FOR YOU ALLS F##KED UP DESICIONS AND TAKE RESPONSIBILTY FOR YOUR OWN ACTIONS!!

    • TOTALLY DISGUSTED! says:

      HElllurrrrrrr!!!!

    • observer says:

I agree with your second paragraph so hard. If these people who are looking so hard for jobs could “lower themselves” to work as a landscaper, kitchen hand, construction worker etc, they would find that…hey, maybe a job won’t appear right away, but they are available.
Then there would be less foreigners here as well, which seems to be oh-so-important to some.
I’m seeing an increasing tendency towards people not taking responsibility for their actions, and I find that extremely worrying.

      • Tired of nonsense says:

That tendency is now in full swing in good ol’ BDA. Never taking responsibility for ones own actions and/or non-actions.

I mean I get it and all. It is some much easier to blame everyone/everything around you instead of manning up and admitting that most of the time it is your own personal decisions that lead you to where you are today.

This current administration promotes this mentality and thus here we are…

  3. Not again ..... says:

    You’ve got an education ?

“Kick all these d#mn foreigners off the island !!” Yeah , that’s spoken like someone with a really good education , for sure.

And furthermore , no-one ‘gives’ jobs away.

They are ‘earned’ by people with the right aptitude , attitude and qualifications.
Oh , one more thing … You gotta want to ‘work’ too , normally, to apply for a job.

  4. person says:

I hope the guy’s out of hospital and doing alright.

  5. MCFC says:

What would happen if all the foreighner’s were kicked off the Island, I mean all of them??

We would have nothing, we can barely run the country as it is. We would have nothing, no jobs no economy no tourism , nothing!

If and when the culprits are caught, why send them to prison?? It will only make them worse. They should have to serve full time in the regiment, in a controlled public works and service program, teach them discipline and hard work. Instead we punish ordinary young men by conscripting them.?? Does not make sense to me.

  6. jason says:

Dont try make it like people dont apply for jobs below their personal standard. These damn monopolies still hire foreigners basically stating qualifications beyond the normal Bermudian standard. I know of dozons of guy I KNOW that dont have jobs because they’ve been laid off in Construction especially.

You people sit up on your lunch break and read the paper not knowing how it really is out here. So say what you want! Everyone has an opinion, especially shallow people who look at everyone else like something is wrong with them. Yeah, go get up and get job, its that easy for some people i Guess?!

    • Lissa says:

      I agree with Jason.

    • Tired of nonsense says:

Do you even know what a monopoly is? None of those companies yuo listed are monopolies. The only real monopoly in BDA is BELCO. So learn your sh#t before posting ignorance.

    • Tired of nonsense says:

“Everyone has an opinion, especially shallow people who look at everyone else like something is wrong with them”

Pot calling kettle black. Read your posts where you have blamed everyone under the sun except for you and the perpetrators of crimes which you constantly defend, for your and their personal decisions.

      Hypocrite…

  7. Jennifer Butterfield says:

It’s time for all of this violence to stop. These people taking part in these violent crimes need to be put up City Hall and given a good flogging. I said it before and I will say it again BRING BACK THE CAT “0″ NINE TAIL come on people in authority do something to stop this madness. We know the Death Penalty will never be brought back but bring back the Cat “O” Nine Tail.
