Trio of Accidents, Two Impaired Driving Arrests

accident icon genericLast night [Nov 3] saw a trio of accidents, two people arrested on suspicion of impaired driving, two people taken to hospital via ambulance and five vehicles damaged.

Just before 9:45pm last night there was an accident on North Shore Road in Pembroke near Princess Estate Road involving a car and a motorcycle. The rider of the motorcycle, a 26 year old Pembroke man, was injured, however his injuries are not considered serious and he was subsequently arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. The driver of the car, a 49 year old Devonshire woman, was not injured. The motorcycle was extensively damaged while the car received moderate damage.

About 45 mins before, there was an accident on St. Mary’s Road in Warwick involving a van and another vehicle believed to be a motorcycle. The Police say that the rider of the vehicle believed to be a motorcycle, a 36 year old Warwick man, was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. The driver of the van, a 37 year old Sandys parish man, was not injured. The van was damaged; however it is unknown what damage the other vehicle received.

Around 5:15pm last night, there was an accident on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish in the vicinity of Flatts Bridge involving a car and a motorcycle. The rider of the motorcycle, a 55 year old Pembroke man, was injured; however his injuries are not believed to be serious. He was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment and subsequently arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. The driver of the car, a 71 year old Hamilton parish woman, was not injured. The car received moderate damage while the motorcycle received extensive front end damage.
