Saluting Bermuda’s Young Artists

1schoolshowThe Bermuda Society of Arts gallery will be celebrating the work of the island’s young masters beginning next week.

Hundreds of watercolours, pastels, drawings and other artwork will be on display when the 46th annual Schools’ Art Show opens on January 31 at the City Hall venue.

“For the past 46 years, thousands of students from public and private schools across the island have participated in the show,” said a BSoA spokesman.

“This year is no different and opening night promises to be a memorable event.

“Children and their families are invited to attend this special event in recognition of the youth of Bermuda.”

The show’s official opening is being held on Friday, January 31 from 5 pm to 7 pm and continues until February 22.

Primary, Middle and Secondary school students will all be showcasing their talent at the three-week exhibit.

The annual show is intended to encourage Bermuda students to pursue their creative skills in a broad range of artistic areas and to show the public what  is being accomplished by youngsters in these fields.
