TBI Tech Issues Affecting Voice Services

TeleBermuda International Ltd. [TBI] suffered a major telecommunications failure just before 8am this morning [Mar.16], which affected all outgoing voice services.

A spokesperson said, “At 0743 this morning, March 16th, TBI suffered a major telecommunications failure. This failure affected all outgoing voice services. Both online and redundant servers were affected and have subsequently been reconfigured and replaced.

“Engineers are currently working through sequential equipment restoration procedures. Every effort is being made to have service restored as expeditiously as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience this unfortunate outage may have caused to our customers,” said a TBI spokesperson at 6:15 this evening.
