22 Yr Old Female Fined: Cocaine Possession
In Magistrates Court this morning [May 26], 22-year-old Danielle Eatherley pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine.
The Court heard that on 30th January 2011, Ms Eatherley had been at The Beach on Front Street where Police had arrested her on another matter.
She had been taken to the nearby Police station where, before she was searched, she admitted that she had drugs in her possession. She removed a packet from her jacket pocket and threw it down. On analysis, the packet was found to contain 0.4 grams of cocaine.
Magistrate Archie Warner asked if she had anything to say. Ms Eatherley replied: “Nothing to say.” Asked, again, if she was positive that she had nothing to say, Ms Eatherley replied: “Positive.”
The Magistrate fined Ms Eatherley $1,000.

It is also the intent. One charge was importation with intent the other was simple possession

yeah.. i’d like to say coke gets more sentence.. but this isnt a case of 10grams and 20grams… its 0.4 and 35…. not really a comparable difference.

I can’t speak for all, but I’m pretty sure many don’t wish to see “another person’s down fall”. The people that comment on this site are merely voicing their opinion (whether you like it or not).

No matter how much of a controlled substance is on any one’s posession. The Law is LAW.. In my eyes.. If you get caught with something illegal, you needa be dealt with apropriatlely. I’m tired of ppl in Bermuda Getting away with alot of b’s. No matter how much or how less of a drug someone gets caught with, They needa have a Stiff FINE.. So that maybe the won’t do it again. !! or do TIME !!! My mother and father taught me from young the Difference from RIGHT and WRONG… JUST DONT DO IT !! And to the Girl who got caught.
