Miss Bermuda & StyleBermuda ‘Style War’
The Miss Bermuda Pageant has teamed up with StyleBermuda.com for a ‘Style War‘, in which each contestant selected a denim outfit of their own choosing, and the contestant receiving the most votes for her ‘denim style’ will be announced on June 12 at the Miss Bermuda Pageant.
The photography was by Tekoa Photography, assisted by Alex Masters and Anthony Wade, with lighting equipment provided by whitespace. The shoot managers were Karlandra Smith, Jakai Franks, Trikeita Outerbridge and Mia Chambray, with assistant Schavonne Stowe. Makeup was by Keisha Ramsey of Chrysalis Cosmetics, with hair by Gladene of Soave.
There are 12 contestants in total in the ‘Style War’, some of which appear below:
Channing Dill, Miss Smith’s East, said “My style is comfortable & classy. I love earth tones with just a sprinkle of colour. I chose to pair my denim jacket with the salmon short to highlight the at times windy, yet warm springtime season. I completed the outfit with a pair of army pumps that I decorated to resemble blossoms, a mustard saucer ring, and a rope necklace.”
Cratonia Smith, Miss Sandys, said “I would say that I’m a classic girl. I like chic, feminine, girly fashion. I like to accessorize with big chunky bracelets, large earrings, and neck pieces. I chose this denim dress because it really embodies my style. I was able to mix my love for jewelry and denim. I find the dress to be sexy yet classy and very feminine.”
Davika Hill, Miss Warwick East said, “I love comfort when it comes to clothes. I’m also a spontaneous, get up and go kind of girl so I like clothes that are easy to put on. I really love wearing dresses, you can never have to many. They’re comfortable, easy to wear, and suit any occasion. I also tend to wear leggings with loose fitting shirts.I chose this outfit because I love wearing simple clothes with solid neutral colours and just layering colourful accessories along with it.”
Davina Cannonier, Miss Devonshire East said, “My style is best described as simple yet tasteful. I love animal prints and purple colours also accented with gold and sparkle accessories. My favourite item of clothing to wear is dresses- these can be classy, sassy, or flirty- I love them all. I chose this outfit because it is a true reflection of my personal style and when I wear it, I feel comfortable yet fashionable.”
Jana Outerbridge, Miss St. Georges East said, “My personal style matches my personality – it is simple, natural and classy. At any given time you can find me in high heels, a fitted dress, and pearls. I wanted to stay true to myself so I decided to wear a fitted dress that was bright for springtime. I love the denim heels I had on and knew they would compliment the dress I chose. I held my denim jacket to my side as I would ordinarily wear as it gets cooler in the evening. My look was truly a representation of who I am!”
