Youth Sailors Claim Fitted Dinghy Wins

Youngsters ruled the water on Mangrove Bay yesterday [Sept.12] as Owen Seise sailing Challenger II won two of the five races of the day during the final race day of the Bermuda Fitted Dinghy Racing Season.

Another youngster Dimitri Stevens sailed Contest III to two victories as well. Seise won the Gilbert Bowl and Sandy’s Boat Club Shield, while Stevens – who only skippered three races – won the C.T. Fowle Cup and 50th Anniversary Cup races.

Somers Kempe sailed Contest III to the Cambridge Cup victory, while Gareth Williams was at the helm of Elizabeth II. Victory IV was unable to sail today leaving the three boats to battle.
