The 24th edition of the Skippy KICK held this past weekend picked up slightly in competitor numbers and saw a repeat visit of Grandmaster Bob Cheezic and students from Connecticut Tang Soo Doh.

Defending forms champions Kent Bean and Jasmyn Renfroe retained their first place positions in the advanced divisions, with Bean also first in junior weapons. The mens’ black belt division was uncontested in both forms and weapons, with Chris De Fontes taking two walkover victories. The mens’ over 40 division was more competitive, with Anthony Leader on top in both empty hand forms and weapons forms; empty hand runnerup was Andre Joseph, with Richard Robinson of Connecticut second in weapons. Anthony Leader was forms grandchampion, while Chris De Fontes took the weapons grandchampionship.

Sparring winners included Ryley Mason (girls 8-10), Dean Lottimore (boys 6-7), Luis Pontes (boys 8-9).
