Photos: Police Officer Safety Training
Police officers of all ranks today [Nov 20] converged on the Police Gym in Prospect for Officer Safety Training [OST]. Until recently only officers at the rank of Chief Inspector and below were required to receive officer safety training.
That now has changed and all officers including the Commissioner [pictured above], must now be Officer Safety Trained.
This acknowledges the fact that all officers can be called upon at a moments notice and they must be prepared. The all inclusive OST has been well received by the Bermuda Police Service, a spokesperson said.

Safety training..that is soooo funny, these cops never ever go anywhere where there is danger, the only firearm incidents they attend is when we (public) call them and the crimes are hardly ever solved, the Whitney crossing guard is confronted by more danger than these clowns in any given day, That’s the most work those handcuffs have seen since the last safety training, how about going out and catching some bad guys and making this community a bit safer (your job) instead of playing charades
I agree. They aren’t even dealing with criminals and they already look out of their element.
