47-Yr-Old Man Injured In Warwick Collision

A 47-year-old Southampton man is recovering on a general ward after being injured in a two vehicle collision in Warwick last night [Jan 28].

A police spokesperson said: “Around 8:30pm on Monday, January 28th police and first responders attended a reported serious two vehicle collision at the junction of Middle Road and Longford Road in Warwick.

“It appears that a motorcycle was being ridden along Middle Road and a taxi was being driven along the same road when the vehicles collided at the junction.

“The motorcyclist, a 47 year old Southampton man, was initially believed to be seriously injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. However, after being medically examined, his injuries were deemed to be less serious.

“At last check the Southampton man was recovering in stable condition on a general ward. There were no other injuries reported.

“Both vehicles were damaged and traffic was diverted away from the area while collision investigators examined the scene. Inquiries into this collision are ongoing.”
