Another day, another single vehicle accident in the wee hours of the morning…….
Check the helmet.
Something is weird about most of these accidents..they all on straight roads.
I agree, I get very uneasy when I read/hear about them, very uneasy.
I don’t believe these “accidents” are all accidents. I hope this man recovers.
Could this be a new phrase of attacks where as these”thugs” or thieves are riding up behind motorists and trying to robbed them in motion. Too many str8 road accidents. What goes here? Look at every possible reason. It can’t be DUI’s every time. Check this of BPS. We need to know. For real.
Hopefully the victim can speakout and let us know what went wrong.
That kind soul is why I get the uneasy feelings – takes me back to Nov 1 2011
I was also thinking that something else must be going on. Something that crossed my mind is whether cars are racing or speeding on the roads and causing other drivers/riders to try to move to get out of the way.
Naturally, I also hope this rider goes on to a full recovery.
I hope it wasn’t an attack. You never know what happened. I hope the person is ok.
Isn’t there any follow-up’s on these road accidents; police reports, accident reports, insurance reports… something that would calm the rampant speculation that happens when people don’t know and can only guess.
Most of these pedestrian crossing lights are a accident waiting to happen. Yes it may be a straight road but the lights are about 6 inches from the curb. And the the motorcyclist go down the road hugging the side and looking back. The handle bars protrude about a foot over. HELLO STOP LIGHT. There is a pedestrian light at the Swizzle Inn in Baileys Bay that has been there over twenty years. The difference is that with this one it is set back of the curb. And the light is set on angle so it is more visible to the motoring public. Just my point of view.
Huh? you’ve got to be kidding me…how many belco poles just out into the road and are never hit? Maybe the rider and you both need to be checked for alcohol.
people are stressed out around here,,,
Bernews can you find out if he was just released? Or was he released from hospital and detained by Police for Susp od DUI? He was obviously traveling east and collided with the pole on the west bound lane of the street! At least that’s my take looking at the picture!
Oops……….Susp of DUI
What is that pedestrian light post doing jumping out in front of people anyway?
I am not really a ;light post hater , buh clearly this one went outta the way to mess with the bie.
A lot of single vehicle accidents here lately which is creating a lot of suspicion island wide.
Ghessse ‘ at this point I’m becoming a bit suspicious.
One thing for sure , It seems like the Police disappear of the roads of Bermuda after 10 am.
Something just not right !
We need to be held responsible for our actions as adults!
Was that pedestrian light pole texting while crossing the road?
So THIS is what happened to the light i use to cross!!! Being sick really makes you miss a lot… In hind sight, this would also be why I was woken up the other morning my the sounds of sirens!!
But really??? how the heck you hit this light on a straight well lit road??
