Sex Offender Sentenced To Five Years In Prison
Convicted sexual offender Dwayne David Beach was jailed for five years for attacking a teenage girl who was on her way home from school. The 47-year-old was on probation for a similar offence he committed in 2010 when this occurred.
At the sentencing hearing yesterday [Apr 12] in the Supreme Court, the Crown Prosecutor reminded Justice Carlisle Greaves how Beach had approached the 15-year-old, who was wearing her school uniform, pinned her against a wall, and began groping her chest, licking and kissing her face, and telling her how “gorgeous” she was.
The teenager broke free, punched him, and ran away. She made her way home where she told her mother, who contacted the police. A victim impact statement read out in Court indicated she no longer felt safe going out and was deeply affected by the attack.
Beach was arrested a few days later and in Magistrates Court pleaded guilty to the charges. Calling him a “predator,” Magistrate Archie Warner sent him to the Supreme Court for sentencing saying that the offence warranted a punishment longer than the five year maximum that he was allowed to hand down.
Before finally being sentenced, and speaking from the prisoner’s dock, Beach told Justice Greaves that he was sorry, that he needed help with his alcohol problem, and claimed that on Easter Sunday he had: “Given his heart to the Lord.”
However, Justice Carlisle Greaves said that Beach had committed a similar offence and posed a danger to women. He said that Beach needed enough time in custody to complete sex offender and drug and alcohol programs.
Justice Greaves sentenced Beach to five years in jail on the first count of sexual assault to be followed by three years of probation. He also handed down a sentence of three years for the second count of intrusion, but this was to run concurrent with the longer sentence, so the final sentence ended up to be five years.
Justice Greaves leaned forward and warned Beach that he could anticipate that if, in future, he came back before the Court for a similar offence, he could expect to receive an even longer sentence.

He was sent to Supreme Court because the Magistrate felt that his maximum of 5 years was not enough.

So why send the sentencing to Supreme Court if he was getting a sentence of 5 years total anyway. As he is a repeat offender the sentence should have been consecutive. He will be out on parole in 1.5 years. This sentence is no deterrent .
Maybe a pic cud help me and my daughter make a wide circle around him If we should meet him someday. Or is he that guy that you would do it already?

This guy did a similar thing to my sister in law a few years ago by Elliott Primary School. She came home and told my brother who went there, confronted him, and of course he denied any wrongdoing. My brother then gave him a good licking. He still hasn’t learned and I talked to him about doing these things and he thought it was all a joke. Its time for his balls to come out, and I will volunteer to do it.
The court system is a joke. If he would have imported a kilo of drugs. He would have got at least 10 years.
In my opinion these sex offenders get off on a light sentence is becaude the male judges seem to think it is no big thing to be raped !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Maybe we need more female judges…. to deal with these rapists…….

I’m another young girl he bothered when I was 15. (22 now). I’ll never forget him. It annoys me how he blaames the alcohol. He wasn’t drunk when he followed me everywhere (any time of day) on his bike. Excuses. He should have gotten more time! A picture should be posted as weLl!!!

For the peeps that don’t know what he looks like. Short dark brown big googlie eyes. Hangs in the Alexandra road area sometimes. That’s where he preys on the school girls that walk through the path that adjoins Cedarbridge and Alexandra Road. Ugly little short freak. Young ladies be careful when entering the Alexandra Road area because there is anotherone up there also. Preyed on my daughters also until I threatned him. Would love to say his name but not sure if I would get into trouble. This one about 35 decent looking but got a problem. Stalks girls also. He been beaten up enough times but hasn’t made a difference. CedarBridge girls be aware.
