Bay Grape Tree Removal At Admiralty House
The Department of Parks said they wish to advise the public that a Parks crew must remove a Bay Grape tree from the shoreline at Clarence Cove, Admiralty House Park.
A spokesperson said, “Erosion, caused by wave action, has undermined the root system of the tree and there is concern that the weight of the tree may cause it to topple over.
“Initially it was thought that pruning it may be sufficient, but further analysis by the Department’s Maintenance and Development Superintendent, who is also a tree surgeon, has determined that the tree poses a serious safety risk. Therefore it must be removed.

Why??? why cant you section off the area and let the tree fall on its own?
This tree has been there for atleast 25 years as that is how old i am and probably been around longer…

Really? is living in a bubble. You really want the tree to fall on it’s own? You really want to close the beach to residents and visitors for a tree. I’m sorry, there is a reason why people are on top of the food chain and plants are at the base…
