“Healing History” Seminars Planned For June

May 17, 2013

melody1Bermuda educator, poet and writer Melodye Micëre Van Putten’s new publication “Healing History; Reflections On Race and Forgiveness In Prose and Poetry” is the first selection of a new National Library book club.

The inaugural meeting of the library book club will be held on Thursday, June 6 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and is free to the public.

As a follow-up to the book club discussion — and to delve into the subject in more depth — a three-part “Healing History” seminar will also take place in June.

The class will consist of reading and discussing the book and formulating a blueprint for healing based on discussions among seminar participants.

The class will be held at the library on Thursday, June 13, Tuesday, June 18 and Thursday, June 20 from 6 to 8 pm.

The $80 cost includes book; $60 if you have already purchased the book.

The Healing History seminar requires registration and payment must be received no later than Monday, May 27th.

To make arrangements to register, please contact Ms Van Putten via e-mail at melodyevanputten@aol.com or telephone 296-8137.
