Photos/Results: BBA Madison Cycle Time Trial
The Bermuda Bicycle Association held their Madison time trial today [May 12] that took riders on a course around Harrington Sound. Junior riders did one lap which covered 7.5 miles with all other riders doing two laps covering 15 miles.
Daren Glasford won the male open race in a time of 35:52.155 with his teammate Mark Hatherly finished second in a time of 36:19.414. Richard O’Connell finished third in a time of 36:30.938. Justin Ferreira set a new 15 – 16 age group record with a time of 36:49.264 and gave him the fourth fastest time of the day.
Nicole Mitchell won the female open race in a time of 38:26.615 while Heather Roque was the second female finisher in a time of 42.42.605 also winning the female veteran category. Zonique Williams was the third female finisher with a time of 42.55.323.
Junior 11-12 rider Nahje Smith covered the 7.5 miles with the fastest time of 23:45.206. Christian Roque finished second with a time of 26:51.109 and Nahje Brockington finished third with a time of 27:22.544.
