Rider Injured In Collision With Truck

Emergency service personnel attended the scene of a collision today [May 20] on Mission Road in Paget involving a motorcycle and a truck, and the male motorcyclist was taken to hospital to receive treatment for serious leg injuries.

Police Media Relations Manager Dwayne Caines said, “Police officers responded to a report of a road traffic collision that took place around 11:30am today [Monday, May 20th] on Mission Road in Paget involving a motorcycle and a truck.

“The male motorcyclist was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital where he is being treated for serious leg injuries.

“It should be noted that this vehicle was not licensed and insured to be on Bermuda’s roads and its engine capacity superseded the legislated requirements.

“A formal investigation into this collision is underway. Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone in the neighbourhood who may have seen the collision or have any historical information about this motorcycle on the roads to contact police on 295-0011.”
