Teen Rapper To Perform On BET’s 106 & Park
16-year-old Jeremiah Steede — who performs under the name Lil Quan — will be performing on BET’s popular 106 & Park show this week after winning the ‘Can You Rip It?’ competition against five other local students.
In October 2012, five local students participated in the “Can U Rip It” competition where over several weeks they learned about the music industry, public relations and interviewing skills, branding, and the history of music.
They also created two original songs and competed live on December 1, 2012 at The Berkeley Institute for an opportunity to go to New York City and represent Bermuda and their talent on BET’s 106NPark.

Under the direction of executive producer Jonathan Talbot and co-producers Jodi Lewis, Neville Darrell, and Glen Tucker a fierce battle took place. Lil Quan was victorious and has been working with Jroc Communication on numerous projects to prepare him for debut in New York City.
With months of planning, BET producer Terrance Clayton has now solidified a spot for “Can U Rip It” winner Lil Quan and producer Cahlii Smith of Dem Biez to rip the famous 106 & Park stage on Wednesday, May 8th.
As Lil Quan, a CedarBridge Academy student, and his team prepare to leave Bermuda tomorrow [May 7], he said he hopes to do Bermuda proud and expresses that “I am living my dreams and want to thank my entire family for their support”.

@bermyprincess:
You can’t be serious? You are trying to say that Lil Quan’s success is because of Cahlii? Lil Quan and his crew have been working on their skills all this time – - Dem Biez just started last year – #johnnycomelately. Still don’t understand why he is going – - Quan didn’t need him to sing on the hook at the competition in Dec – why does he need to sing on it now?
LAUGHING OUT LOUD AT YOU ALL!
Anyway, congrats and make the best of it…. Shine Shine Shine….
Big shout out to Lil Quan, stay focused kid! Do ya thing and represent UGR to the fullest!
