Final Day: O’pen Bic World Championship In Italy

The eight Bermuda junior sailors took to the water for the final day of the O’pen Bic World Championship in Italy, with three of them holding on to a top 10 finish.

170 participants from 12 different countries including Bermuda are taking part and are split into two categories, the Under 13′s and the Under 16′s, all the Bermuda sailors are competing in the Under 16 Division.

Last Day wind picked up big, leaving all the competitors very exhausted, but they were all talking about next year in Germany.

Three races was sailed on the day with Ceci Wollmann leading the Bermuda Fleet moving up one spot from 6th place to 5th and she stood on the podium after finishing 2nd in the Female Division, she concluded the Regatta with 48 Net Points.

Mikey Wollmann remained in 6th place, Wollmann had 53 Net Points after finishes the 10 Races. The other Bermuda sailor to finish in the top ten was Peter Dill who finished in 8th place with 60 Net Points.

Sammy Dill finished in 49th place with 316 Net Points, while in 64th place is Charis Todd with 465 Net Points. Aglae Perrin finished in 75th place with 566 Net Points, while Brandon Adams finished in 81st with 611 Net Points, Blair Blakeney rounded out the Bermuda Fleet in 86th place with 642 Net Points.
