Photos: Navy HMS Argyll Arrives In Bermuda
[Updated with photos] Government House has advised that HMS Argyll, a Type 23 frigate from the UK Royal Navy, will arrive in Bermuda today [Aug 30]. HMS Argyll will berth alongside Front Street over the Labour Day weekend but will not be open for public visits.
This will be her final stop before returning home to the UK after seven months patrolling the Southern Atlantic seas.
During this time HMS Argyll has carried out a wide range of operations around West and South Africa, the Falkland Islands and the Eastern Pacific. Her work has seen her involved in counter-narcotics operations, helping in the fight to prevent illegal drug trafficking along the coast of Central America and training work in Africa.

They’re coming up in tractors
They’re coming up in cars
They’re coming up on Pearce’s mare
If it’ll get that far
They’re building a destroyer with a 42ft missile
And in honour of the team they’ll call it HMS Argyle!
