Bermuda Rugby Football Union 7’s Season

rugby131011The Bermuda Rugby Football Union’s Men’s and Ladies 7’s Season continued at the National Sports Center on Saturday [Oct 26].

In the first match of the evening the Teachers defeated the Renegades 34 – 0. Hadleigh Tucker led the Teachers to victory with 2 tries and 3 conversions, the Teachers also go single tries from Mychal Evan‎, Adam Chevis and Dave Porter.

The Police defeated the Mariners 29 – 10. Cobus Vermaak scored 2 tries for the Police who also got tries from Paul Davis, Darren Gillespie, and Guerhardt Lamprecht, Davis and Michael Kane each kicked a Conversion. The Mariners got tries from Ian Scotton and Chakote Wainwright.

The Teachers then defeated the Police 24 – 0, Tucker once again had 2 tries and a conversion, while Tom Moroney and Adam Chevis both added a try each, Robin Seale also kicked a conversion.

The Mariners defeated the Renegades 12 – 7, Ojay Barnett‎ and Andrew Barnesley‎ scored a try each, while Rory Dublin kicked a conversion for the Mariners, while the Renegades got a try from Alex Donkervoet and a Conversion from Philip Hall.

The Teachers picked up their third win of the night when they defeated the Mariners 26 – 5. Chevis led the way this time with 2 tries, while Moroney and Tucker added a try each, Tucker also kicked 3 conversions. The lone Mariners try came when Ian Scotton went over for a score.

The Police ended the night with a win defeating the Renegades 12 – 5. Johnny Sykes and Dave Bird scored a Try each, while Paul Davis kicked a conversion, Phill Hall scored the lone try for the Renegades.
