Wins For Longtails, Bluebirds, Ravens, Upstarts
The Longtails, Bluebirds and Ravens all recorded wins in this weekend’s action in the Women’s Hockey League, while in Men’s Action the Upstarts defeated the Polecats.
Women’s Division: Wildcats 0 Longtails 1
After a scoreless first half at the National Sports Center in this Women’s B Division match the Longtails got a Field Goal from Maya Palacio in the 58th minute as they defeated the Wildcats 1 – 0.
>Women’s Division: Bluebirds 3 Canaries 1
The Bluebirds took the lead in this Women’s B Division match in the 15th minute when Paula Few scored a Field Goal, Few doubled the lead when she scored her second Field Goal of the game in the 38th minute making the score 2 – 0. Kourtney Fassler put the Bluebirds ahead 3 – 0 when she scored a Field Goal in the 47th minute, Kirstie Jones pulled a goal back for the Canaries in the 51st minute connecting with a Field Goal.
>Women’s Division: Ravens 3 Swallows 0
The Ravens went ahead of the Swallows in the 5th minute when Aleisha Hollis scored a Field Goal, Megan Troake doubled the lead in the 54th minute with a Penalty Corner goal and then Kristen Ingelman made it 3 – 0 with a Field Goal in the 62nd minute as the Ravens defeated the Swallows 3 – 0.
Women’s Division #2: Ravens 11 Longtails 0
Kirsten Morbey gave the Ravens the lead in the 3rd minute scoring a Field Goal, Emma Simmons doubled the Ravens lead when she scored a Field Goal in the 7th minute. Alex Wheatley scored twice from Penalty Corners in the 12th and 15th minutes to make it 4 – 0. Amori Venter made it 5 – 0 in the 26th minute when she scored a Field Goal, Venter then scored her second goal of the game in the 33rd minute.
In the 39th minute Carolyn Soares scored Field Goal for the Ravens to make it 7 – 0, Venter completed her hat-trick with a Field Goal in the 42nd minute, Ana Abend made it 8 – 0 with a Field Goal in the 43rd minute, Wheatley completed her hat-trick with another Penalty Corner goal in the 45th minute and then Venter scored her fourth and her teams eleventh in the 67th minute.
Men’s Division: Polecats 1 Upstarts 4
The Upstarts took the lead in the 27th minute curtsey of an Own Goal, five minutes later it was 2 – 0 when Jeremy Shrubb scored a Field Goal. Donny Moniz put the Upstarts ahead 3 – 0 with a Field Goal, Richard Marriott however pulled a goal back for the Polecats with a Field Goal in the 61st minute, Moniz scored his second goal of the game in the 70th minute connecting from a Penalty Corner.
