Male, Female Deny Stealing $1,000 Gold Chain

November 12, 2013

A 23 year old man and 19 year old woman appeared in Magistrates Court this morning [Nov 12] where they denied stealing a gold chain worth $1,000.

Mr Rayshun Edwards and Ms Eishuna Castle were both granted bail of $2,000 each; and both were required to wear Electronic Monitoring Devices [EMD] after pleading not guilty to trespassing in a Morgan’s Road, Warwick residence on 4th November 2013 and stealing a gold chain worth $1,000.

Edwards, separately, pleaded not guilty to assaulting a police officer on 7th November 2013. This alleged assault was alleged to have occurred following a police chase after Edwards was alleged to have jumped from a window in an attempt to elude police who had come to the house to question him.

An older woman, who said she was the defendant’s grandmother, tearfully told the Magistrate: “I thank you very much. I hope that he will pay attention. I hope and pray that Rayshun will pay attention.”

The Senior Magistrate Archie Warner thanked her for her input.

    So So So Sad.
This is a result of neglect from day one.

While neglect may be a factor, this alleged act is a result of CHOICES.
Sooner or later excuses are no longer acceptable.
I am the product of a neglectful mother however, I CHOSE not to be a “victim’ of my circumstances.
We need to STOP making excuses for ADULTS who make poor choices as it is part of the problem and they need to be accountable for their actions.
