Photos: Cornerstone’s 1st Annual Golf Challenge

The Cornerstone Foundation held their First Annual Golf Challenge Supporting At Risk Youth on Saturday [Nov 23] at Newstead Belmont Hills which saw 24 teams compete in a captains choice to take home the honours of being crowned the winners of the First Annual Golf Challenge Supporting At Risk Youth.

At the end of the day Spencer Wideman, Matt Gorrell, Adam McFarlane and Ben Hodge took home that honor shooting a 15 under par.

A spokesperson said, “We would like to thank our sponsors, Somors Construction, XL, Augentius, CatCo, Deloitte, Endurance, SwissEdge, Highland Spring, Bermuda Sun, Newstead Belmont Hills, Cambridge Beaches, Catlin, CellOne, Dolphin Quest, Golf Etc, KPMG, Port Royal Golf Course, Moongate Productions and Riddells Bay for their generosity in support this event and this cause. We would also like to thank all of the golfers who took part in a great day of golf.

The Cornerstone Foundation has many programs in place including:

Overseeing the Youth Impact Mentoring Program at the Co-Educational Facility.
The Back To Work Program for at risk youth transitioning back into the workplace after being incarcerated.
Cornerstone Christmas Store invites 100 low income families to shop for food, toys and gifts for their families at drastically reduced priced in a store full of Christmas Spirit and Encouragement.
The Cornerstone Foundation also sponsors a number of scholarships and also supports many overseas programs in countries like Cambodia, Kenya, Zambia, Belize and Haiti.
Plus many more programs.
