Bermuda HealthCare To Give Away 150 Turkeys
[Updated] Bermuda HealthCare Services will be giving away 150 turkeys this Saturday [Dec 21].
Founder and Executive Chairman Dr. Ewart Brown today said, “This Saturday December 21st we will be giving away 150 turkeys starting at 11 am and continuing until the last turkey has been given away.”
Dr. Brown added, “Bermuda HealthCare Services has been embraced and supported by the community since we first opened our doors twenty years ago. This Saturday we are giving back to the community that has given so much to us. For those of you who would like some holiday assistance, I invite you to join us this Saturday.”
The BHCS Christmas Turkey Give-Away will begin at 11 am at Bermuda HealthCare Services. Bermuda HealthCare Services are located at 19 The Lane in Paget.
Update Dec 17, 11.14am: A BHCS spokesperson explained, “It has been customary for Bermuda HealthCare Services and Brown-Darrell Clinic to host an Annual Docs for Dinner Christmas event. In view of the devastating impact of the global economic downturn on many Bermudians, we have decided to do something different this year.
“We will not stage the dinner-dance but will donate 150 turkeys to needy Bermudians who wish to come to BHCS on Saturday, December 21 at 11am. Physicians who know patients or others who might benefit from this gesture, feel free to send them to BHCS on December 21st.”
