Photos, Video: Fireworks Display At Boat Parade

December 8, 2013

[Updated with video] Crowds lined the route to watch last night’s [Dec 7] Christmas Boat Parade, which concluded with a dazzling fireworks display over Hamilton Harbour.

Giving it a uniquely Bermudian twist, part of the fireworks show was accompanied by the sounds of the traditional Gombey drums, as one boat entered in the parade featured drummers as well as at least one Gombey aboard.

Founded in 1998, the Boat Parade continues as a biennial event and always attracts a large crowd who come out to watch the festive spectacular. You can view our first set of photos of the Christmas Boat Parade here, our second set here and photos of the fireworks below.

Best boat parade I’ve attended. I was on the water all night and didn’t see anyone acting up. The fireworks were also the best I’ve seen in a while.
