Parents Excited To Welcome First Baby Of 2014
New parents Tomika and Flavio Pacheco welcomed their first child this morning [Jan 1], with the birth of their baby girl marking the first baby of 2014 for Bermuda.
Farrah Natalia Kaye Pacheco made her grand arrival into the world at 8.38am this morning weighing 8lbs.
Mrs Pacheco said she is feeling tired after the labour, but is really excited to have a healthy baby girl and said was glad little Farrah “made her debut” today and called her a bundle of joy.
Farrah is the first baby for the couple, and Mr Pacheco said that seeing the baby for the first time was like seeing an angel and it touched him in a way he found hard to explain.
Congratulations!!
What a beautiful family, peace and blessings to you.
Awww…what a blessing.
As for how Mr. Pacheco is feeling, I think new fathers have that combination of love and an overwhelming feeling of wanting to protect this new little person. I remember when my daughter was born, and a few months later my husband said when he held her for the first time he had this feeling of ‘if anyone ever tries to hurt you, I will rip them apart..’I think that’s the feeling most new dads get-that protective instinct comes out and they will do anything to keep that baby safe. It’s a wonderful time!
Congratulations Tomika, Flavio and Farrah on your new family.
Who is the a***** that dislikes the joy of birth and their reasoning.

Best to the family.
There are some nasty, unhappy people in this country. A baby is a blessing-I don’t understand how people can be so mean.
Congrats to the family…she is so cute!
Don’t get bent out off shape there are still some people who can’t get over an African and a Portugee living in love, part of Bermuda’s History. Beautiful family
We are solo Happy for You Tomika and Flavio and Farrah-Over joyed to have such a wonderful New Years Gift!
Thank you guys! We Love you!
Who would dislike such positive comments up above? Some people really have problems–even if its a troll having a kick; theres a time and a place. Try to be more positive for this new lease on life –New Year of 2014.

And they still disliked what I said.
So much for the net.
Terry, my guess is that there are people amongst us who are very unhappy with themselves and take great pleasure demeaning anything good in others.
I really feel sorry for them and hope they have a Happier New Year!
You are so correct Malachi.
Shalom.
Congrats to the the parents and also the hard working KEMH staff, a happy new year to all.
