AA, Delta, United: Cancel NY & NJ Flights Today

Various flights to/from New York and New Jersey have been cancelled today [Feb 5], with the arriving and departing flights affected by the winter storm in the area.

Both American Airlines flights to New York have been cancelled, with the out-bound flight #1443 and the in-bound flight #1416 both cancelled. The American Airlines flights to/from Miami are both scheduled as normal.

Delta flight #1275 arriving from New York has also been cancelled, the United Airlines flight #1419 arriving from New Jersey is also cancelled, as is United flight #1416 which was scheduled to depart Bermuda for New Jersey.

The U.S. National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for portions of Northeast New Jersey, the New York City Metropolitan Area, as well as Nassau and Northwest Suffolk Counties in New York.

They list the hazard types as “heavy snow mixing with and changing to sleet and freezing rain” with possible snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches, along with around one quarter to four tenths of an inch of ice.

    American Delta and United canceled cause that if they brought anyone to the island they’ll be stuck at the airport with no transportation and so on.

    Even the airlines know when it’s best to fly here.
