Canadian Man Charged With Importing Cannabis

A 23-year-old man from Toronto, Canada will spend time on remand after being charged in Magistrates Court earlier this week with allegedly importing cannabis.

Moses Adejumo faced two drug related charges: importing the illegal drug cannabis through L F Wade Airport in May 2014 and possessing cannabis in May 2014.

Crown Prosecutor Loxly Rickett said that the amount was alleged to be 885 grams [1.95lbs].

Senior Magistrate Archie Warner required Mr. Adejumbo to re-appear on 5th June.

    If Bermuda can not keep drugs out of a tiny prison, how can we logically support the war on drugs? The current model isn’t working. Why is any suggested change to this model met with such great defence as if to imply the current system is working? Eventually, when the older generation part this earth, you will see there is nobody left to defend marijuana prohibition and it will become a substance regulated mainstream like alcohol and tobacco. It’s as simple as that.

  5. I think people need to be educated to the fact that marijuanna is not a drug.Marijuanna is an herb and a flower.God put it here.If He put it here and he wants it to grow,what gives man or govt. the right to say God is wrong?
