Bermuda & WPI Draw At The Sports Center
Worcester Polytechnic Institute [WPI] out of Worcester, Massachusetts began their 2014/15 Preseason Training with a match against the Bermuda Women’s National team at the National Sports Center.
The pair played to a 1 – 1 draw.
Bermuda took the lead in the 27th minute with Maya Palacio scored from a Penalty Corner. Palacio took a pass from Jessica Hollis in the D and her shot went high into the net leaving the visiting goalkeeper stranded.
WPI drew level in the 39th minute when Hope Scevchuk scored from a Penalty Corner, neither goalkeeper was beaten again as the teams ended with a draw.
